Picnik Calenders

So a bunch of you have emailed me asking about the calender I posted yesterday (honestly, people, leave comments... emailing me is so... February 2010).
I won't do a whole tutorial on using picnik, because homemadebyjill has a fantastic tutorial that I would have paid good money for ... but there it is for free, just waiting for you.
Using jill's tutorial, make a rectangular background in the color of your choosing.  (I made mine by finding a color close to the one I liked and then fading it to satisfaction).
Then, go to the Create Tab, Seasonal, and choose Heart's Desire:
(My first attempt at doing a screengrab.  This blog has been edifying in ways I never dreamed)
Fiddle till you're happy.  Then go to the text tab and put in your month and year.  Move it around till you get it where you want it (or, my newly minted motto: "Fiddle till you're happy")Then, go to Microsoft Word (sorry Mac-ees, you're on your own here, I'm sure you have a much fancier version that inputs the calender straight from your eyeballs...), New Page and choose Calender.  I suggest the plainest one with no lines.

Copy everything below the Month Line:

and put it in a new text box over at picnik:

Shrink to size, change the font (I like Geosans and use it for everything, but I've got nothing against Pupcat if you're so inclined)
Then go to stickers and add the design you like and you've got yourself a very pretty little personalized calender page.
And once you've got one page you're happy with, save it.  Then you have the option to "continue edit".  Do so and just copy and paste the remaining months' information.
And since the kids wanted to commemorate Selma's sixth month status, I made a cupcake topper while I was on picnik making this tutorial
