In this house, we love books. We have a running overdue tab at the library that pays for the salaries of many of our favorite librarians (yes, we have favorite librarians ... it's a small town). The kids have used books since before literacy...

I certainly didn't want Baby S left out, and I didn't want her eating paper, so when I found this tutorial, I had to try it. For any beginning sewers (that doesn't look right!) out there, this is a very simple project. It turns out beautifully and can be whipped up in one afternoon - assuming you use fabric you have around the house.

I could have added applique before joining the pages, but I wanted to keep it simple and do-able (Do-ability is of the essence!). I will probably make a couple more as gifts as there are a number of babies sprouting up in our neighborhood. Do give it a go, the tutorial is very well-done, no need for me to reinvent it.
