Scratch and Sniff Watercolors

Since I was already acruing fines on my Kid Concoction library book, I wanted to make my last weekend with it count.  My son found this idea upon his first perusal of the book and - thinking that we had all the ingredients in the pantry - I promised him we would make it.
Turns out I'm a better more health-conscious mom than I thought and I didn't actually have any kool-aid mix on hand!  Turns out you can buy little packets now so you don't have to commit to any one flavor.  Buying kool-aid and being in the general area of crystallized sugar drinks made me miss the days of ignorant health bliss.  I have a not-fully-developed theory that you are safe from the harm of things if you don't know the harm that's in them.  So, all the junk ambiguous chemicals that make for more-cherry-than-cherries flavored drinks are just fine until you start sticking your nose where it was never meant to go.  What I'm trying to say is ... I MISS TANG!!!  Especially the big tub of Tang where you could add more than the recommended amount of orange cocaine juice crystals!
Anyway, the project:

Scratch-n-Sniff Watercolors:
Put a tablespoon or so of different colored juice crystals (unsweetened) in separate containers.  Add about a 1/4 cup warm water and mix.
Protect your furniture, clothes, and loved ones and let your kids loose with thick brushes and big pieces of paper.

Dawoud's "Signature" Art ... wasn't sure how I felt about "Scratch n Sniff" used for Lafth al Jalala, but he promised there'd be neither scratching nor sniffing involved ... the colors just apparently inspired him and he couldn't resist.
You're going to have a hard time keeping your kids from licking the papers.  I kid you not.  The powder is unsweetened and bitter as hemlock, but I kept catching them with the telltale techni-color tongues and fingertips!
