Child's Name Wall Hanging

We've all seen various ways of putting up a child's name or initial on the wall, but when I picked up these letters
at Hobby Lobby, I bought up my daughter's name without looking at the back.  They had very awkward predrilled holes that I knew I'd never be able to line up on the wall properly.  So, taking a page out of smashedpeasandcarrots, I mounted the letters (which are quite heavy) on a double thickness of ribbon.  I didn't take pictures of the process, but you can see here for the details of a similar project.
The only thing I did different was that instead of painting the letters, I modpodged fabric scraps from this quilt:

Expert Quilters, don't laugh, it was my first quilt.

so that I'd have a coordinated palette
As I said, I doubled the pink ribbon to give it more strength.  (If your name is extra long, say ... MARYAM (ahem, ahem ;)) for example, you might want to give it triple thickness!)
The nice thing about this, aside from not having to drill holes and try to get the layout just right, is that is totally portable.  Not for taking on vacation - I mean that when you invariably change your mind about where you want it, it's just a matter of removing a couple of discreetly placed pushpins from the ribbon.  No realigning necessary.
Don't mind the photo quality, it's a dark, dreary day here on the East Coast
