Materials:
Medium Size Wooden Letters of your message (you don't want them too heavy or you'll have trouble hanging them)
Spray Paint
Wide Ribbon (preferably 3 inches wide) the length of your message plus 8 inches
Same Ribbon cut to 3 12" pieces and 15" piece
Very strong glue (I use my trusty glue gun)
Spray paint your letters to match/coordinate with your ribbon
Once dry, lay your letters face down and lay the ribbon on top of them, trace where the ribbon hits the letters. This is so you know where to glue and don't end up with a sticky mess. (sorry I didn't take a picture of this step)
Lay the ribbon down and lay out your letters how you want them to go.
Start glueing them one at a time
For the bow on top:
Make a loop with the first 12" length, staple in the center
Repeat with second top and lay them on an angle on top of each other
Make a loop with the small piece and glue it to the middle of the bow.
Prettiest bow I've ever made in my life ... |

ReplyDeleteEid Mubarak!
Salaam,
ReplyDeleteInshaAllah I'm going to make this for Eid, but had a question. How are you attaching this to the door?
Jams
Salam Jams,
DeletePlease let me know how it turns out. For the picture I just tacked it up with LOTS of blue tac. But I've since been using my wreath holder and a hidden loop just on the back side (about where the "H" is).
Happy Eid!
